One Stop Sensory Shop is an independent affiliate content site. This page explains clearly and transparently how we generate revenue, which affiliate programmes we participate in, and how our commercial relationships affect (and do not affect) our editorial content.

What Are Affiliate Links?

An affiliate link is a specially coded hyperlink that tells a retailer or brand that a visitor came from our website. When you click an affiliate link on One Stop Sensory Shop and subsequently make a purchase, we may receive a small commission — typically a percentage of the sale price. This commission is paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you arrive at a product page via our link or by typing the URL directly.

Affiliate commissions are how this website generates revenue to cover its operating costs — hosting, content production, OT advisory fees, and editorial time. Without affiliate revenue, the free guides and reviews we provide to Australian families would not be financially sustainable.

Affiliate Programmes We Participate In

Amazon Associates (Amazon.com.au)

One Stop Sensory Shop is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.au. When we link to products on Amazon Australia, these may be affiliate links. We clearly indicate Amazon affiliate links on relevant pages.

Commission Factory (Australian Affiliate Network)

We participate in Commission Factory, Australia's leading affiliate marketing network. Through Commission Factory, we may have affiliate relationships with a range of Australian retailers and brands. Commission Factory operates transparently and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law requirements.

Direct Brand Affiliate Programmes

In addition to network-based affiliate relationships, we have direct affiliate arrangements with a number of Australian sensory brands. These include brands such as Kaiko, Sensory Assist, Jettproof, and Sensory Tools Australia, among others. Direct affiliate relationships typically operate through brand-managed tracking systems and are subject to individual programme terms.

Where we have a direct affiliate relationship with a brand being reviewed on this site, this is disclosed in the review content. The existence of an affiliate relationship does not influence the editorial conclusion of any review.

How We Identify Affiliate Links

In compliance with our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law and the ACCC's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, we disclose affiliate relationships clearly. Pages that contain affiliate links display an affiliate disclosure notice at the top of the page. This notice reads: "This page contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you purchase through our links, at no extra cost to you."

Where practical, individual affiliate links may also be identified with "(affiliate link)" or similar notation. We are committed to making our commercial relationships transparent and legible to all readers.

Our Independence Guarantee

We are committed to editorial independence. Our reviews and recommendations are based on our honest assessment of product quality, therapeutic value, safety, and value for money — not on the size of the commission we receive. We have declined to recommend products that we believe are poor value, unsafe, or not genuinely useful for the sensory needs they claim to address, regardless of commercial relationships.

The selection of which products appear in our guides and reviews is driven by our editorial judgement about what is genuinely useful for Australian families, not by which products have affiliate programmes. Where a product we recommend does not have an affiliate link available, we link to it directly at no commercial benefit to ourselves.

Our OT advisory team reviews content independently of our commercial operations and has the authority to flag concerns about any recommendation regardless of affiliate relationship.

ACCC Compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) guidelines on affiliate marketing, endorsements, and testimonials. Under Australian Consumer Law, commercial relationships that may influence content must be disclosed clearly and prominently. We take this obligation seriously and have designed our disclosure practices to meet and exceed these requirements.
